about

Hi, I'm Afsha.

I'm Afsha Merchant, a licensed therapist, wellness coach, and the founder of Therapize Me — a wellness coaching and speaking hub established in 2023.

For nearly seven years, I've worked with children, adults, and families ages 6 and up who are ready to move from surviving to thriving. My approach is holistic, body-based, and trauma-informed, drawing from evidence-based strategies such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Somatic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Gottman Method principles. Today, I work virtually with adults, with a particular focus on supporting BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and neurodivergent individuals.

I'm especially passionate about working with people who have felt unseen, misunderstood, or invalidated because of their identities, experiences, or differences. Whether you're navigating trauma, emotional neglect, discrimination, life transitions, or relationship challenges, you deserve a space where you feel heard rather than judged.

I believe healing begins when you no longer have to minimize who you are to make others comfortable. My goal is to help you strengthen self-trust, establish healthier boundaries, develop coping skills, and reconnect with your authentic self. You don't have to have everything figured out to begin — you deserve support that meets you where you are and honors who you're becoming.

Who we are

Therapize Me is a wellness coaching and speaking hub founded in 2023 by Afsha Merchant. We exist to make growth feel accessible, empowering, and sustainable — especially for people who have the motivation to change but need support turning intention into consistent action.

Through a life coaching lens, we help clients build clarity, confidence, accountability, and habits that last. Our work focuses on strengthening mindset, overcoming internal barriers, and stepping into a more aligned, authentic self.

About the names

Therapize Me is the coaching side of the practice — a space for wellness coaching, goal-setting, and personal growth that is forward-moving and collaborative. It is not clinical therapy, and it does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. Instead, it offers supportive, structured guidance for people who want to build clarity, confidence, and sustainable change.

Yeh Therapy Hai — “this is therapy” in Hindi — represents the therapy side of the business. It weaves in the language of my South Asian roots and honors the community I come from and serve. Both names share the same intention: to make wellness feel personal, cultural, and shame-free.

The vision

We believe transformation happens when people feel truly seen and supported. Our mission is to create spaces — both personal and collective — where growth feels possible, practical, and sustainable.
